How do gutters get clogged?
Gutters become clogged generally from leaves, pine needles and other debris that falls on your roof. Also sometimes animals such as birds and squirrels may build a nest inside or behind your gutters which can also cause a clog. Gutters can also run smoothly in the spring and summer and fall but if there is just a little bit if debris in the gutter it will hold water and freeze causing over flow of water and then in the spring when the water is thawed they will appear to work properly.
